MARCH 1  EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

Senior scholarship to attend USU. Scholarship varies from $500 to full tuition. Based on first generation, ethnicity and financial need, minimum 103 index score and 20 ACT/940SAT required,  U.S. citizen, and a personal essay. https://www.usu.edu/admissions/scholarships/edop

 

MAR 1 CALVIN FLETCHER SCHOLARSHIP
Award amount of $2000 - $2500  Must be an incoming freshman in the art and design pre-program with an interest in drawing and painting. Application must include, the completed application form (with signature), a digital portfolio of 8-10 pieces of artwork completed within the last year, and a paragraph describing the applicant's financial need. MAR 1 USU EASTERN REID ENDOWMENT 
The Reid Endowed scholarship provides tuition, fees and allowance for books and supplied for two years at USU Eastern. For someone who is planning on a career in medical research.

MAR 1 WESTERN UNDERGRAD EXCHANGE (WUE)
Exchange program with Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, and Wyoming which lowers the out-of-state tuition.  Some programs open on space available basis, so early application advised.

MAR 1 MOUNTAIN AMERICA CREDIT UNION/UPEA

MAR 1 LANCE CORPORAL MICHAEL J. ALLRED SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION 
High school seniors planning on attending USU must be in good academic standing. Will be selected based on personal integrity, academic performance, service to community, potential and vision and financial need.  Must be committed to the cause of freedom for all people the world over.  Need not be U.S. citizens.   $l,000 scholarships awarded. MAR 3 USU THAIN
$750-$1000 scholarship to a Senior enrolling at USU with a 3.5 GPA. Must take at least one Language or Philosophy Course each semester while receiving this scholarship.

MAR 4 GOVERNOR'S  HONORS ACADEMY - JUNIORS
GHA is organized to provide Utah High School students with an opportunity to learn, lead and interact with some of the foremost leaders in business, technology, humanities, science, education, communication and social science. Students apply in the spring of their Junior year and attend GHA the summer prior to being Seniors. Those who complete the program will receive 6 college credits and a 4-year scholarship to SUU. www.suu.edu/gha

MAR 4 ROTC
 Scholarships that are for 4 years of tuition, books, and a monthly stipend.  Students can use this scholarship for an entire year and then decide if they wish to pursue becoming an officer or to leave the ROTC and not have any obligation to pay back anything.  This scholarship can also be put on hold for an LDS mission if the student wishes to do so. There are 2 deadlines for this scholarship. January 7th and March 4th

MAR 4  JACK KENT COOKE YOUNG ARTIST AWARD
From the Top and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation have awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to exceptional young musicians with financial need. They provide young artists with an opportunity to perform on From the Top's national broadcasts and are awarded up to $10,000 to help offset the expensive costs of studying Classical music. Each year approximately 20 pre-collegiate musicians ages 8-18 receive the Award. Classical instrumentalists, vocalists and composers are invited to apply. MAR 15 - UTAH JUMP$TART COALITION

In cooperation with America First Credit Union, the Utah Jump$tart Coalition offers up to six, $1,250 scholarships to Utah's high school seniors who produce creative, informative YouTube videos about keeping college debt to a minimum. Find an application at utahjumpstart.org

MAR 15 NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ESSAY CONTEST
Contest is open to students grades 9-12. $2,500 to first place essay winner on topic of international issues and foreign relations, all-expense paid trip to Washington DC and a full-tuition paid voyage with Semester at Sea.  $1,250 cash prize for runner up. The 2017 contest challenges students to closely examine the causes and impact of the current global refugee crisis. Essays will be 1000 to 1250 words. MAR 17 ENGINEERING STATE (JUNIORS)
4 day program at USU in Dept of Engineering. $250 tuition fee. Strong interest in math, science, engineering or technology. Should have a 3.0 gpa. May compete for scholarship or financial aid. MAR 18 JIFFY LUBE-WHAT DRIVES YOU

Six finalists will be selected from the 500 word “What Drives You?” essays submitted.  Each finalist will be guaranteed a minimum $1,500 award if they create and submit a 1-2 minute video that expands on their essay in their own candid words, visuals, etc.  The overall $6,500 scholarship winners will be chosen from these videos. https://yourturn2apply.com

MAR 18 CACHE COUNTY DAIRY AMBASSADOR
$1000 Ambassador and 2 - $500 Associate Ambassador scholarships. Ages 16 to 23, knowledge of dairy topics, one year commitment which includes attending events and making presentations.

MAR 20 UTAH SPORTS HALL OF FAME
Open major, based on academic, personal character, financial need, leadership and interest and involvement in athletics; Talk to Kelsey Larsen in Career Center if interested, Green Canyon will nominate one boy and one girl; 6-$2000 awards to any Utah post high school institution. MAR 28 PMI NORTHERN UTAH CHAPTER

3 scholarships awarded. $2,000,$1,000, and $500 to students who are interested in Project Management. Must submit a video. Come see Mrs. Larsen in the Career Center for more information.
